Frequently asked questions
Vedic Astrology FAQ
The essentials to know before generating or reading a chart.
What is Vedic Astrology?
+
Vedic Astrology, also called Jyotish, is an Indian tradition that studies the sidereal zodiac, planets, houses, Nakshatras and timing systems from a specific birth or question moment.
Which AstroSaki astrology tool should I use first?
+
Start with the Vedic Birth Chart. It establishes your Lagna, planetary placements, houses, Nakshatras and Vimshottari Dasha periods, which form the foundation for deeper chart study.
What information is needed for a Vedic Birth Chart?
+
Enter your birth date, exact local birth time and birthplace. The calculator uses the selected location and its historical timezone to resolve the birth moment.
Why does an exact birth time matter?
+
The Ascendant and house framework can change as time passes. Even a modest time difference may alter the Lagna degree, house cusps, divisional-chart positions or Dasha balance, so use the most reliable recorded time available.
Which ayanamsa and node convention does AstroSaki use?
+
The main Vedic Birth Chart uses sidereal positions with Lahiri ayanamsa and mean lunar nodes. Ketu is placed exactly opposite Rahu. The report discloses these conventions so results can be compared consistently.
What is the difference between the D1 and D9 charts?
+
D1, or the Rashi chart, is the primary chart for planets, signs, houses and life themes. D9, or Navamsa, is a divisional chart used as a supporting layer for planetary strength, dharma and relationship analysis; it should not replace the D1 chart.
Are Kundli Milan, Rashifal and Prashna Kundali available?
+
These subcategories are planned but are not live yet. Their cards are clearly marked Coming soon, while the Vedic Birth Chart is available now.
Can an astrology report guarantee future events?
+
No. AstroSaki calculates and explains traditional astrological patterns, but interpretations are not guaranteed forecasts and should not replace medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
